Out Reach Service

The group also offers
an ‘out reach’ service. Our Speech and Language Therapist and another member of the group will visit and befriend a survivor, forming a link between the group and the new member.

Up to three visits may be offered with supporting telephone calls in between. This is to give a new stroke survivor the support and confidence to come to the group.

The group has many young members, and there is no upper age limit but to get the maximum benefit from the group the new member must be motivated to work towards regaining their independence and rebuilding their lives.
